three-week long Opening Festival from 13 October 2002 to 3
November 2002 celebrates the finest of popular and classical,
traditional and contemporary forms of theatre, music and
dance. Every Esplanade venue will be programmed with a diverse
range of activities, complemented by a series of community and
free outdoor events. Featuring some 1,300 artists from 22
countries performing in 70 productions and 600 free events,
Esplanade Opening Festival will truly be a celebration for all
in Singapore.
