Description
Lee
Ngoh was born into a poor family in Singapore in 1944. Ai Tong
alumni discovered his talent in Chinese Orchestra, and soon after he
became a Chinese Orchestra member. He learnt Chinese flute from Liu
Chen Zhong. Inspired by the orchestra's mission slogan "establish
good learning attitude, and strive to be a musician of the people",
he immersed himself in musical work over a period of 40 years.
During those years, he had won and received numerous awards from the
National Musical Competition and the 1979 Singapore Arts Festival
competition, as well as the cultural scholarship from National Arts
Council.
